Three Lions Stage delivers top quality Off-Broadway productions with some of the best of New York's international talent ever to grace a Broadway stage. Amid these accomplished and rising stars are stellar technical staff and directors who have trained among some of Broadway's and the world's best technical advisors. Together, we are proud to work and bring to life new and exciting stories that capture the human experience, as we explore some of the old works and see them in a brand new light. Three Lions Stage is proud to celebrate multiculturalism and diversity in its productions through non-traditional casting.
Community Outreach & Audience Education
In its commitment to audience education, Three Lions Stage engages in community outreach through special workshop presentations and discussions with actors, directors, and playwrights. Outreach to under served communities and schools through special presentations helps to educate and cultivate a new generation of theatergoers and artists.
Three Lions Stage has raised the bar in staged readings with its highly acclaimed Roaring Reading Series. The program is tailored to work with emerging playwrights in the development of new works. Playwrights have an opportunity to work with some of the best theater Actors and Directors in New York over the course of several weeks and see their work presented, some for the very first time before a live audience. The works presented in the Roaring Reading Series are works in development and are presented with minimal staging using scripts in hand.
Aside from its work on the stage Three Lions Stage runs an extensive Creative Learning programme aimed at providing opportunities for individuals in particular youth, to access innovative high quality arts provision and develop their creative, personal, social and educational skills. The programme focuses on working with some of the most disadvantaged communities in New York City and across the United States.
Some of the offerings in the Creative Learning Programme are specialized workshops, classes, and seminars covering a cross-section of performing arts disciplines including Acting, Dance, Singing for Musical Theater, Directing, Creative Writing, Stage Management, Set and Lighting Design, Hair and Make-up, and Wardrobe Design.
At various times throughout the year Three Lions Stage offers customized public workshops on theatrical and entertainment industry standards and trends. Some workshops include panel discussions with indusrty professionals, agents, managers, directors, producers, and performers and may include audition evaluations.
